Several years ago I was near poverty, struggling to fetch out a living in a southern Oregon town, living that life of desperation we all know about. I received a job offer from a company I was freelancing for, and took the jump.
I came to San Diego with nothing but a backpack and a bicycle. The owner of the company of my new job invited me to stay at his house until I could afford to bring my wife to San Diego. At every unexpected turn, a new door opened and I questioned what I had done to have everything go so right, just when I needed it.
On the second day of my new job, I rode my bike up the hill and saw the most beautiful sunrise, with three palms like the three kings of yore standing over me. We've all seen sunrises, but this one seemed to speak to me like no other. This is your life man. All you need to do is say yes.
