One Fish Two Fish

Betas are fun to watch and the sharp color and contrast of this painting really makes them jump to life, we used to have these two exactly, a male and a female, and they were perfect airbrush subjects. There is some watercolor brushwork here too in the scales, but mostly airbrush.

I used a cheaper airbrush for the large areas and the splatter effects, and a fine brush for the . . . fine airbrush work. :-)

Color medium is exclusively watercolor filtered through a sable brush as it goes into the airbrush cups.
