I never get over the feeling I get when I’ve been accepted into a show! "Searching for Fairies" has received a Juror’s Commendation in the April 2017 San Diego Watercolor Society Member Show.
The theme of the show, "Seeds of Inspiration," couldn’t be more appropriate for showing this painting. A friend has posted the original image and I told her, "I simply must paint this!" The light through the meadow spoke to me of magic still in the world, the anticipation of discovery, and it all feels right.
Looking at the other works in this month’s show, it’s an honor to have "Searching for Fairies" hang on the same walls as so many talented artists. There have been times in my life I never thought it possible, and I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity SDWS has given me.
The reception is this Friday April 6th, and look forward to seeing you all there!
